All,

I'm thinking that I will have another Halloween party next year at my house in Austin, Texas. Any suggestions for the day? The 29th - 31st is Friday - Sunday. I was thinking of having it either on Friday the 29th or Saturday the 30th.

I know I originally said I wouldn't have another until I moved to a different house, but it doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon. And hopefully it won't rain/drizzle this year like it did last year, which means we'll be able to use the back deck.

Usually what happens for these is people come down from somewhere and spend the weekend in Austin, which has quite a lot of things to see and do. The party last year seemed to last from around 6pm (when the first people started arriving) until around 5am (!).

I'm assuming this party is for people over 18 (21?) only, due to possible legal issues?

Can I wear a bubble? I hear that there's a rampant disease called 'republicianisim' down there. I don't want to catch it.

The under 21 counts me out, even though I will be 20. Can we attend and just not partake in the beverage part?

Texas has pretty severe "contributing to the delinquency of..." laws. I just don't see Vassago risking it.

I could find nothing about the drinking laws for Texas on private property, so yeah, I don't have any idea what they are and that makes it a big unknown which is rather scary :-o Hence my 21-or-over requirement.

What if we can get a fake ID and pass ourselves off as a 24-year-old? (it's possible, I've done it before and I'm only 16 [not the fake ID part, that's illegal])
