Well, I don't know how many MM players have read his books, but Douglas Adams, 49, is dead. We'll all miss his humor. My prayers go with him. We miss you Douglas!!

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

That's sad :( I was hoping they'd make a HHGTTG movie already, too.

I think there is a HHGTTG movie, as I recall, it sucked.

I think it was a tv series actually.. ah well can't see how they would be able to catch all that magic on a screen any way.

We'll miss you Addams!

They were planning on making a movie directed by Jay Roach (Austin powers director, meet the parents also). No news as of yet if the movie is cancelled, but I think it probably will be.

Dang that is a bugger. Enjoyed his books for years. You know your 40 when half the authors and actors you like are dead. And the Rock Stars look like your grandfather but they stopped taking drugs where your parents have just started a collect or worse you are too.

The greatness of an author is that their works live on well after grass grows over their grave.
May he never be forgotten.

How did he go - I hope he didn't try to throw himself at the ground and miss (but actually hit it). The world is lessened with his passing.

Sad indeed...I enjoyed his works a lot!

Anyway, he died of a heart attack, and they are still working on the new movie.

His memory will live on though.

An asteroid was named after the main character in his stories.
