Well, repop sucks for everything in general, but important mobs like Archibold that are vital to quests should repop quicker, i know i am not the only one that has waited on creatures to repop for more than 200 game minutes for a no-show, and then i fail my quest, i dont know if that is part of the plan to make questing harder or what, just thought i would throw it out there.

I think the mob should pop when the quest is given, it is not there, and if two people happen to get a quest with the same mob during the same time period, may the best man win

Heh. Sorry to burst your fantasy, but I think you may be referring to the fact that Archibold was wondering around the western part of Diocletian yesterday. Maybe that's why you were waiting in vain!

Also, he seems to join your formation if you attack something in the same room as he is in. Is this normal behaviour, or have I not noticed it before?

That is an idiotic idea, and you are an idiot for espousing it.

Yes. Back when i used to play and quest. I'd form him, circle of fire, and then walk him in and out to get his hp down to about 100. Then kill him even easier.

Exactly. It is an excuse used by the "staff" when a quest that was originally decent was disrupted by some external change in the game. We at Materia Magica don't believe in testing changes on our development server.

That is painfully apparent when you get a few successive crashes as you're killing some funky mobile. :D

I always figured those mobiles were created to aide in duping of items.

Now Now, You guys know darn well the Ingenii staff does not like people talking down on their work. They'll even help you 'quit' the game by deleting your characters! :shifty:

just speed up the repop rate on unique mobs often used by questers by 50%. Meanna, raksann, archibold, alioth flint(all though sigils repop isnt bad at all), there are plenty more probably.

Imms don't test stuff as extensively as you might like on the development server beacause of naughty mortals like Lothos who exploit their time there.

That's no excuse. Don't log into live. My job is to take up their time.

Here's an idea for all you jolly questwriters!

How about making use of the 203948204982049823098 other mobs in game instead of making quests using the same damn mob??

Riiight.

And while I would have said it differently, I'd agree with Jheron. Diversity is a wonderful invention.

Happy Holidays questers! :santa:

Those who approve the quests have no one to blame but themselves.

We don't have specific guidelines for "diversity" among quest phases, especially when there isn't an objective way to enforce it. Also, alot of submitters aren't familiar with the "common" mobs that seem to be over-quested if you will. I have though been rejecting quests that have some familiarity with quests currently in our system as of late.

Get with the program and start editing the existing quests.

I might be wrong, but Diversity is an old, old wooden ship used in the Civil War era.

Not to rain on anyones parade, or offend in any way, but i do know that not all quests are supposed to be completed, DUH! All that i am implying is that the repop timer seems rather slow, and i am tired of people complaining about it, so i figured i would at least put it out there. Not that im saying make the repop as fast as Lasler or anything, just saying that some people arnt happy. Give me a break, i just want to express a few peoples concerns. And if i am an idiot for putting a suggestion on the board, then so be it, i wont be sharing that sentiment with myself.

Yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhh defeat 20 of a mob that you get 2 per repop. Fantastic idea. Those would be worse than the ogre village quests. Why not go one step further and make them all hidden goals.

All quests are meant to be completed. Why would the quest master assign you a task if he did not intend for you to complete it. This is a rhetorical question, shut up you morons.
