Remember this next time you want help from an Immortal.

I'll remember this next time another player wants help from me.

Primus, sometimes you have to try and step outside yourself, and think how others may view your actions.

Let's take the following example here.

On day one, it's you, and player one on yell channel.

On day two, it's you, and players two and three.

On day three, it's you, and player one again.

Are you beginning to notice a pattern here ?

You are just making a little bit too much noise for one person.

To start with, other people might feel a little intimidated by this; newer players might not want to participate if they feel a little overwhelmed.

Also, you are making more work for people who volunteer to help; you are reducing their enjoyment of what they do by their need to constantly review your .. spam. I don't want to really dwell on his point, but it's a very important one.

Your actions become spam; spam is not acceptable.

Primus, you know I like you. Constantly hearing you on yell channel however makes me want to a) leave town and B) consider that you might be just a little bit rude.

Listen to what I have to say. Think about it from other people's point of view; how your actions impinge on others. Try not to react to this immediately, take a while to think about it first.

A thunderously loud voice yells '~primus~ In her hall, at the honor seat, my brother sits in pain. Pale and tortured Balder greets, bound by invisible frozen chains! "I have come, to bring him back with me, the whole world mourns his death! Please set Balder free, give him back his breath!" If it's true, what you say to me that the whole world mourns his death? If the whole world will weep I'll give him back his breath!'

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 959st> [3] clan members heard you say, '<Chy> i need another mark'

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 959st>
Ceryn has arrived from the west.

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 964st>
Ceryn asks Lord Agrippa for a quest.
'May your journey be a successful one, Ceryn!' Lord Agrippa exclaims.

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 966st>
Ceryn leaves west.

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 968st>
A masculine voice yells 'The Riddenmast Ferry is now docked at Rune! Departure in twenty minutes for Sigil!'

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 972st>
A small voice yells 'i thought we agreed you were going to stop this'

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 974st>
Blackfist drifts in from the west.

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 976st>
A thunderously loud voice yells '~primus~ What?'

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 976st>
Blackfist informs Lord Agrippa he has completed his quest.
Blackfist hands a pair of reinforced boots to Lord Agrippa.

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 976st>
Blackfist drifts west.

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 976st>
A small voice yells 'spam'

[*]<1088hp 1247sp 978st>

If it becomes a nuisance elsewhere, i hope that you are perm-no chan'd.

Even I have to admit...those that yell lyrics in Sigil are just plainly annoying.

I wasn't in sigil for the last no-chan, exited chat after it was already over.

As for the chat relay, it's not always an option for some of us that want to retain a link to our clan (or alliance) chatroom. I see no reason why anyone should be forced to take their talk elsewhere though if asked on yells to stop doing something, I would hope that they'd listen and cut it out.

...you need a link to your clan other than at/ct?

While I understand where you're coming from Primus you have to understand the imms are under a lot of stress. They spend all day dealing with work/school and life then come online to deal with a ton of players who want what they want and for the most part won't listen to other people let alone people who are 'in charge' of them. The imms don't sign on to sit there and babysit Sigil. It should for the most part be players responsibility to keep yells under control. I mean if you can't handle the most basic self discipline maybe you're just not mature enough to handle playing a game with other people let alone being in public without a babysitter.

Even if the imms were 'in the wrong' as you're trying to point out, what it comes down to is the imms are in charge of the game. If you were at work would you contradict your manager? I think the main issue is the players take for granted what the imms do and the respect they should rightly be given.

I sort of agree with Primus here. I thought it would be best to just nochan Primus than to noyell Sigil.

Nochanning Sigil is kinda pointless when standing outside the city gates works just as well. :(

Convienently, he puts his name in the yells so if you find it that threatening a nuisance, you can readily ignore him.

Considering that's the suggested course by immortals and guides alike for similar things on other channels, as well as similar issues on yell as well, I don't see what the issue is.

Welcome back Evi. The message boards are in dire need of your logic and vemonous words. (no sarcasm intended)

On-topic, just ignore Primus. Fastest and easiest method...i also suggest just turning the yell channel off
