I don't see someone who isn't maxed, unless they have the support of a form, doing a significant portion of these, particularly a few of Db's (Which questing should never require, unless it's a group quest! Solo Blademaster? *mimics klaus's reaction*)

So uh, I agree with Klaus/Jheron mostly, and Karynn's response to Perem is pretty much spot on. Although I'd like to see him manage even one of hers in that time limit without dying, much less six.

Just because the questmaster is archon-only and his tasks are supposed to be "difficult/long" should not mean that they are impossible for anyone who doesn't have a poo-ton of hp (lol murderbeast).

Name: Fishing Trip
Area (s): Underground, Decara.
Quest Master: Baron Nezak.
Level: 241.
Description: Our neutrally aligned friend Glomus has invited us, rather boneheadedly, on a 'fishing trip'. Unfortunately for us, we have far more important things to do, so we find it necessary to send a representative for us. More specifically, you. You are tasked with the job of finding an excellent spot for our good friend and his guards, as he has also neglected this duty.
However pointless this activity may seem, Baron Nezak deems it necessary on the basis of building up a good power base. Glomus has access to large forces, exactly what we need for slaughtering every innocent person and bathing in their guts. Ensure that the area is safe for Glomus and our representatives.
Rewards: _qp, _practices,_experience,_gold.
Fishing Trip consists of:
Phase 1: Journey to Oceanus Decarus Shipwrightus (Decara, south of the main town).
Phase 2: Visit a depressed shopkeeper (Decara).
Phase 3: Recover a quartz lantern (a depressed shopkeeper, Decara).
Phase 4: Journey to a Creaking Wooden Pier (Outside Decara. all south from first pier room).
Phase 5: Defeat a translucent box jellyfish (Water around Decara).
Phase 6: Defeat 2 of a shimmering silver merman (Decara Ocean).
Phase 7: Defeat a stunning golden mermaid (Decara Ocean).
Phase 8: Defeat a giant cave bat (Underground).
Phase 9: Defeat a cthon psionic (Underground).
Phase 10: Visit Lord Glomus (Decara).

Name: Wights
Area (s): Underground, Vir, Decara.
Quest Master: Baron Nezak.
Level: 241.
Description: We have received reports recently about creatures known as wights, or undead. Mindless killing machines created through necromancy, a beautiful concept to us. We would have you attempt to create a few of these for our own purposes. A select few creatures with uniquely useful characteristics have been identified by us so that you may seek them out and slay them.
If all goes well, they should rise again as an undead army. If it fails, return to us speedily and await our anger. This is something of a new concept to Baron Nezak, and the efficiency of the technique has only been recently explained to Baron Nezak through another Agent. Dispose of the individuals selected in this town carefully, as not to make our good friend Glomus wroth.
Rewards: _qp, _practices,_experience,_gold.
Wights consists of:
Phase 1: Defeat three of a busy woman (Decara).
Phase 2: Defeat a starving citizen (Decara).
Phase 3: Defeat an advanced drow sorcerer (Underground outside Decara).
Phase 4: Defeat Beltrim, the fool (Vir).
Phase 5: Defeat Farquar, the ferret (Vir).
Phase 6: Defeat 3 of a pitiful slave (Vir).

Name: Infestation
Area (s): Decara Realty, Decara.
Quest Master: Baron Nezak.
Level: 241.
Description: Baron Nezak recently began exploring the section of Decara reserved exclusively by Lord Glomus for Archons. Much to our surprise, there is some potential in the area. Several spirits wander the streets, each young versions of far more powerful creatures found ages away in the Domain of Arbaces. Our request is that you journey to the Decara Realty and investigate these creatures.
After investigating them, slay them; Lord Glomus recently expressed exasperation at the presence of these creatures, and missing any chance to gain credit with him would be a foolish action on Baron Nezak's part.
Rewards: _qp, _practices,_experience,_gold.
Infestation consists of:
Phase 1: Journey to Arbaces Square (Decara Realty recall).
Phase 2: Defeat an infant lava wyrm (Decara Realty).
Phase 3: Defeat a small ethereal mist spirit (Decara Realty).
Phase 4: Defeat a baby slug (Decara Realty).
Phase 5: Visit Lord Glomus (Decara).

Name: New Tactics
Area (s): Hellbent Mountain, Decara, Underground, Vir, Alyria, Tavern of the Boars, Hotel Hello.
Quest Master: Baron Nezak.
Level: 241.
Description: Baron Nezak is willing to try a different tactic, Agent. We have thus far employed the use of stealth. However, we have recently been studying the tactics and strategies employed by several successful battle leaders of Alyria, such as the prince Raymatus. His tactics of confronting the enemy in full-on combat was obviously successful, failing only to the great sorcerer Riga.
Attacking the enemy full on in battle requires steeds. We will not have our employees run in on foot like incompetent fools. Agent, your task is to find several of these steeds. We have selected them as part of a new breeding program, and these will be at the forefront of the program. Select several of the best from these towns so that we may begin as soon as possible.
Rewards: _qp, _practices,_experience,_gold.
New Tactics consists of:
Phase 1: Rescue a whooping llama (Hellbent Mountain).
Phase 2: Rescue an okapi (Underground).
Phase 3: Rescue an untamed horse (Decara).
Phase 4: Rescue a black unicorn (outside NR)
Phase 5: Rescue a young pegasus (outside NR).
Phase 6: Rescue a swift stallion (Tavern of the Boars).
Phase 7: Rescue a small brown pony (Stables, Hotel Hello).

Baron Nezak must know what the secret is behind Vir's recent outburst of power and success. You must also get rid of your counterpart of espionage before they spread word of your committed acts.
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive up
to _ quest points, _ practice points, _ experience points, and _ gold pieces.
You have 250 minutes remaining to complete this quest.
Phase 1: Visit Viridis, Queen of Dracons.

I propose that none of these quests interfere with runs. (Which I'm sure Duende is already trying to avoid, assumably.)

Nor should they require slaying mobs that are on such a limited repop time, unless modifications are made of course which could probably be counterproductive.

Etc.

Yada yada.

Blah blah.

I forget if i already posted this, but these're the two quests i'd written as examples:

Goal # 1: Journey to In Front of the Fireplace [decara]
Goal # 2: Defeat a rabid child [decara] (6 times)
Goal # 3: Defeat a baby dracon of royal lineage [vir]
Goal # 4: Defeat a baby red dragon [vir]
Goal # 5: Defeat a baby brontosaurus [hellbent]
Goal # 6: Deliver a wire coathanger [lowangen] to Doctor Gonzo [maldra's]

Desc: something about killing the next generation of adventurers.

Goal # 1: Journey to Circular Room [Temple Crypts]
Goal # 2: Journey to Circular Room [Decara] [Dependent on #1]
Goal # 3: Journey to Stone Hallway [Temple Crypts]
Goal # 4: Journey to Stone Hallway [Decara] [Dependent on #3]
Goal # 5: Journey to Crypt [Temple Crypts]
Goal # 6: Journey to Crypt [Decara] [Dependent on #5]
Goal # 7: Journey to Crypt [Temple Crypts]
Goal # 8: Journey to Lady Bane's Crypt [Decara] [Dependent on #7]

Desc: something about examining the differences and similarities in lady bane's former and current crypts.

not everything has to be stupid hard, and those sorts of quests will likely have a lower acceptance rate. these two are on the easier side, but lay off the chess pieces and the 3 vir mobs everyone knows. go out, do some legwork, find some interesting themes and work with them; just stuffing every quest will the hardest UG mobs you can think of isn't fun.

So which quest phase was your favorite, Jheron?

I think I liked 'Visit an Altered Yaswon' over 'Defeat the New Kolvir Blademaster' myself. I only assume that quest comes with a bag full of 600 mobs heads as a headstart.

Name: Foolish Hope
Area (s): Hellbent Mountain, Random
Quest Master: Baron Nezak.
Level: 241.
Time: 700 minutes.
Description: Weary and lost adventurers often seek help in the darkest places. In those places, hope and light are often to be found; a banner for those lost individuals to rally to. Several reports from other Agents have indicated that in several areas beneath the darkness lie slight and solitary sparks of light, resisting the onslaught of death and doom. This, of course, is a contradiction to the beliefs of Baron Nezak, and we have concluded that these sparks of hope and joy should be extinguished, allowing the darkness to rage forth in the hope that more death will follow. Slaughter the ones who advocate light and give hope, in the most obvious manner if possible, so that the spirits of their followers are crushed simultaneously.
Rewards: _qp, _practices, _experience, _gold.
Foolish Hope consists of:
Phase 1: Defeat a dream of better days (Hellbent Mountain).
Phase 2: Destroy a love that could not be (Hellbent Mountain).
Phase 3: Defeat the weary High Priest (Rune Graveyard).
Phase 4: Defeat the temple healer's apprentice (Rune Graveyard)

Quest: Those Bloody Crystals
Submitted by Retalious

for level 241 players

(The quest is meant to send you back and forth between planes to basically do a gem hunt. The rewards at Tadamir might be more than the barons, but his are consistant. The gold is less, but for all gambling chances, the PP might turn out to be more. It's more or less a game of chance on this one. Who knows if the gem is even findable, might end up just spending 50k for nothing)

This quest is called 'Those Bloody Crystals', for Adventurers levels 241 to 241.
Description of Those Bloody Crystals:
We have seen into the planes, agent, and we have left no stone unturned in our relentless search for that accursed Tadamir. He has escaped us time and time again, and at last he has settled a makeshift home base in that grimy mortal town of Rune. It sickens us, dear agent, that we are unable to thwart this excuse for a bounty hunter. He thirsts for more power. Our power! But we have seen his gemhounds, and they are weak. They are but half of the beasts they used to be. Perhaps you can help us yet. Find his blood crystals. Pay his finders fee. Destroy his maps. His promises are fickle, agent, but we can guarantee you consistent rewards. We need the power of the crystals for our own purposes. Weaken Tadamir, strengthen us. Yes, go now and deny him the crystals, this is what we demand.

Submitted by Retalious
for level 241 players

This quest is called 'Tooth and Nail', for Adventurers levels 241 to 241.
Description of Tooth and Nail:
These is much do to, agent, much too much to do. We have heard tale of might weapons and armors being made from the teeth of mighty beasts. Dental armaments, as it were. Fearsome things, these razor sharp, cutting edge incisors. We would be most pleased if you would outfit us with the best of the best of those rotten things. We must show the planes how fearsome we can be. We strive to strike fear in the hearts of mortals, teeth chattering to their graves. It must be done in a timely manner though, as anything less would be an insult; a kick in the teeth.

Quest: Death to the Dragons!
Players level 241:
Baron Nezak

Damned winged snakes. Breathing fire and ice and all sorts of garbage. They are inferior to us, completely useless! I detect them, loathe them, abhor them wholly. They hate us too, they scratch and claw and bite us. This displeases us! There is nothing worse than a dragon, agent. Nothing at all! You will destroy them for us, of course. And if you cannot succeed in that detail, then you are to find out the secret of their power. This isn't a request, you see. This is a demand. Should we find that you have failed in ridding this plane, and all the rest of the planes, of this scourge of flying vermin, then the consequences will be quite dire. There can be none left to oppose us when we finally ascend to power.

We have the most vile, repulsive task for you, oh illustrious agent. It requires a sick mind to complete, and we have decided you are the one for the job. Your tolerance for sickness and disease is quite breathtaking, you see. There is the most delightful news spreading across the realms. There are plagues and poisons and all manner of death creeping over the lands, and we need some of it. We are consumed by this desire! We must possess some of this sickness, and you are to destroy any being that you come across who seems unworthy of being in possesion of our most precious plague.
