Questmasters: Lord Vendredi
This quest is called 'Jack's Tale', for Adventurers levels 20 to 180.

Description of Jack's Tale:
The Jack-o-lantern custom comes from Celtic folklore. As the tale is told, a man named Jack, who was notorious as a drunkard and trickster, tricked Satan into climbing a tree. Jack then carved an image of a cross in the tree's trunk, trapping the devil up the tree. Jack made a deal with the devil that, if he would never tempt him again, he would promise to let him down the tree. According to the folk tale, after Jack died, he was denied entrance to Heaven because of his evil ways, but he was also denied access to Hell because he had tricked the devil. Instead, the devil gave him a single ember to light his way through the frigid darkness. The ember was placed inside a hollowed-out turnip to keep it glowing longer.
I have decided that on All Spirits' Eve we shall stage a re-enactment. I want you to examine Sigil to find a suitable location with a tree where this can be done. We need to find someone who capable of climbing a tree to play the part of Satan - possibly an acrobat or jester. Go and see if one of the performers either in the palace of Diocletian or in the inn you pass on the way would be interested. Don't forget that you need to be invisible while you're in the palace itself in order to avoid those annoying bees. While you are there find an eminent scholar and ask him to identify a suitable student who can play the part of Jack. If the student agrees to take the part reward him - a ring that increases wisdom would be most appropriate. We'll need some themed music - check out the bards both here and in the palace of Diocletian. For dramatic effects we'll need a mage - again visit one of the more senior ones here and in the Palace of Diocletian. A flash bomb would also add to the spectacle. Jack will be appearing both alive and dead so we'll need the advice of a necromancer. Go to the fighting academy and see if they have something suitable for carving an image of a cross into the tree that we can use as a prop. Finally we will we will need the makings of the lantern. If you can't find a turnip locally then a pumpkin will have to do. A sunstone dipped in napalm should suffice for an ember.

Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive up to 60 quest points, 8 practice points, 45,000 experience points, and 40,000 gold pieces.
You have 600 minutes remaining to complete this quest.

phase 1 hidden: Journey to Inside the Living NetherOak
phase 2 hidden: visit An acrobat [This should be the one in the Emperor's Crossroads not the one in the Twin Moons Inn]
phase 3 hidden: visit A foolish jester
phase 4 hidden: visit Archibold the Great Scholar
phase 5 hidden: locate and deliver an amethyst ring to a Student (Palace of Diocletian)
phase 6 hidden: visit Garan
phase 7 hidden: visit A skilled bard
phase 8 hidden: visit Kalied
phase 9 hidden: visit An elite palace wizard
phase 10 hidden: visit A master necromancer
phase 11 hidden: recover A flash bomb [This should be the level 30 flash bomb (sold in The Merry Men's Outfitters)]
phase 12 hidden: recover A Sigil dagger
phase 13 hidden: recover A ripe pumpkin
phase 14 hidden: recover A sunstone
phase 15 hidden: recover A tankard of napalm

Note: could actually send the quester to New Rigel for a turnip but as everything else can be done between Sigil and Diocletian a pumpkin is probably better provided that there are not too many other quests where one is needed.

Right now I think we're good - however you could send some in for Alyrian Yule! (see associated thread).

(From Darum):

Questmaster: Lord Vendredi [Sigil]
This quest is called 'The Global Ghostly Ghasts of My Years Past', for Adventurers levels 10 to 60.
Description of Global Ghostly Ghasts of My Years Past:
I do my best to be a just and kind ruler, but I have not always had the wisdom brought to me by experience. Alas, with my great power and good intentions, still some have harbored such hate that they remain on this plane of existence. With the coming of All Spirit's Eve, my informants tell me they plan to gather and haunt my court! Please visit the enemies of my past and tell them how I've changed--I only wish that I could lay them to rest myself. Many of my subjects relocated to Rune in their dissatisfaction, and thus haunt Rune Graveyard--but others still lurk in Arcane Archipelago and even Maldra's Keep!
May the Powers guide and protect you!
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive up
to 100 quest points, 15 practice points, 45000 experience points, and 25000 gold pieces.
You have 800 minutes remaining to complete this quest.
Business As Usual consists of:
Phase 1: Recover A vial of holy water
Phase 2: Defeat A ghostly figure.
Phase 3: Visit Baron VonJansen.
Phase 4: Defeat A shrieking ghost.
Phase 5: Visit the undead shade of Zakarius.
Phase 6: Visit A death knight.
Phase 7: Visit A ghost child.
Phase 8: Visit A skeletal demon hunter.
Phase 9: Visit the friar of Death.
Phase 10: Visit An undead clanmaster.
Phase 11: Visit A ghost.
Phase 12: Visit A withered, mummified skeleton.
Phase 13: Defeat Binky.

Phase 7: Is there a ghost child other than the one in Maldra's Keep? If not there's a level 90 restriction on entering the keep which is not consistent with level range of this quest.

Is something up with how the quests are being randomized? I've gotten this same exact quest six times in a row spread across 4 QMs. Any quester should be prepared for some tedium, but...

It's whatever quest shows up first as to the priority. I should link similar quests together so they aren't counted separately (those are actually different quests, at least in the system's eyes).

Phase 2: Visit an absent-minded wizard.
Phase 3: Defeat 3/3 of an elite palace wizard.
Phase 4: Defeat 3/3 of an elite warrior mage.
Phase 5: Defeat a brainwashed wizard.

Isn't it impossible to attack Kraaa to complete phase 9?

And...is the RU for the implemented quests ever going to be awarded?

All the RU and potion rewards for these quests have been rewarded! If I overlooked someone let me know, but I think I got everyone. Thanks for everyone's work on these. They also inspired me to make some badly-needed updates to the quest system.

Oh, also - what does everyone think of the potions? Any suggestions for new things to transform into that are All Spirits' Eve-related?

And does anyone have ideas for a few fun items we could add as additional random rewards, like temporary buffs, etc.?
