You ask Lord Vashir for a quest.
This quest is called 'Gitcho Funky Groove On', for Adventurers levels 240 to 241.
Lord Vashir is the master in charge of this quest.
Damn, foxy! You look righteous, and while I'm always in the market for a
little somethin' somethin' on the side, I have bigger plans for you. While
I have your, shall we say, captive audience, I need you and your fine ass to
play some dress up, and then play a little bit of dress down, if you know
what I mean. At the last Council meeting, Undya hooked me up with some a
fiiiiine trio of druidesses, and I owe that piece somethin' in return!
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive:
*Up to 30 quest points, 5 practice points, 0 experience points, and
50,000 gold pieces.
*The item 'a large pile of gold'.
You have 300 Alyrian minutes remaining to complete this quest.
Gitcho Funky Groove On consists of:
Phase 1: Put on yo' pair of leather pants.
Phase 2: Put on yo' leather vest, stud.
Phase 3: Put on yo' downright foxy beautiful silk scarf.
Phase 4: Squeeze yo' baaaad self into that girthful codpiece of power, because it's time for trouble.
Phase 5: Steer the party train over to Undya's, fo' a strip-o-gram.
'May the Powers be with you, Vlia!' Lord Vashir exclaims.

Any suspension of disbelief just received a fatal blow, I think. Does Vashir really talk like this?

Um, is that a real quest? How the #@@! did that get by our very stringent Immortal quest entry process?

Obviously someone has a (questionable) sense of humor?

Some of their rules can be bent, others can be broken.

2008 Fail

Even a guide thought it was "funny" o.0
This is not funny, it's retarded in a RPG context. And it's retarded even out of a RPG context. That is funny.

Doesn't look like the rule book was 'busted out' when this was accepted.

Why would you change this? This is the best quest i've ever seen. No, not all quests should be like this but this is freaking funny.

LOLOLOLOLOL :D

WHY SO SERIOUS?

It's got style! It's gotta be one of the MOST interesting quests in the system. Much better to read than most of the quests out there. A significant amount of quests have grammatical errors or are just plain awkward, anyhow.

I think it's funny, but it clearly depends on your sense of humor. I'm going to leave it since it's been around so long and actually works. Don't think that one quest is going to ruin the game for anyone.

Now that I think about it, the shaft theme should totally start playing whenever you enter vashir's palace. or vashir's "palace". "shaft" theme. shaft "theme". hmmmm.

On a somewhat related note, what happened to Lady Vashir? I know Vashir had her safely locked somewhere a few years ago, but it's no longer possible to shift into her - is she dead? Did he kill her? 8O

She was a succubus and vashir was tricked into thinking he had a wife. Fortunately, Tristan, sent at the behest of Lord Agrippa and the Council of Seven, beheaded her.

If we really want to stick with the Shaft theme, Vashir should pimp her out as a quest reward. :shifty:

 No, what's missing is the task related to getting to the pole, not shaft. Gotta get out of pk more often :)

*disco ball*

I don't want to break your party, but for the little mortals who should think further, accepting that type of quest is creating a precedent. It's up to you if you approve that type of "pimp-yo-trash-talk" pollution in a RP game, and it's up to the imms if they don't mind having to reject more quests submissions in the future because they use the same model as this "yo" one.

But yes, why so serious, we see that type of things on tv and everywhere, so why not lower the quests to that level too so the game fits the trend (I guess) ;)
