i think that the difficult to reward ratio is pretty great. I also like how you are not giving too few or too many building points for the specific quests that give them to you. Thanks! :)

I like them overall, but I know that a lot of people have had issues obtaining a "cracked seashell" for the quest "Water for Solstice" I've spent a long time searching for it to no avail, and I've had a lot of people asking where it is because none of us can find it, or it's on a too low of a repop to sustain the quest. I haven't been able to complete it yet. Perhaps the phase could be changed to just a regular seashell found in the wilds on the beaches?

Another quest that can be annoying is "Beach Party" because the bathing towel and bucket only occur once per repop. The bathing towel is only on one mob, and the bucket repops in a room. Multiple people on the quest at the same time makes it quite annoying.

The extra rewards on the quests are great, I really enjoy them. I'd love for more quests outside of seasonals to award BP too.

First class at least, I agree, the difficulty to reward ratio is perfect. I have some I don't take, but that's more me than the quest. I'm enjoying them a lot, good job on them, in my opinion. <3

I only have one complaint. In the "* for the solstice" quests, it seems redundant, unnecessary and annoying to have both a recover and a locate and deliver phase for each reagent type. Changing them to require only the locate and deliver phases for each quest seems like the way to go. Apart from this, I like them. The additional reward items are neat as well.

This quest [31340] is called 'Fire For The Solstice',
for Adventurers levels 181 to 241.
This is a SEASONAL quest. It is available for a limited time.
Lord Vendredi is the master in charge of this quest.
With the summer solstice fast approaching, our mages and clerics are busy

available hand making fast work of the preparations, you are our last hope
for gathering the needed items and delivering them unto the hands of the
busy planners. There are several items that will need to be obtained from
around Alyria and delivered to the appropriate religious coordinators around
town. Gather these items and return them in a timely manner and I will
reward you handsomely. May the Powers guide and protect you!
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive:
*Up to 30 quest points, 10 practice points, 45,000 experience points,
5 build points, and 15,000 gold pieces.

Faiyze: I'm not sure, but from the looks of it, you need two of each of the reagents. One to give for phases 7-12, and one to hold onto for phases 1-6 when you turn the quest in.

thralk, reading it over again it appears you are correct. prolly the worst designed quest ive ever seen then. as if dealing with the dizzys trying to reach the high priestess of gath and running literally all over the world wasnt enough....

1. Bugged Phase: There are no cracked seashells in game at all ever. I had an Imm check for me. Please switch this to something else.

2. Ergonomic Phase Issue: The "gather reagents and return them to the followers/friar/high priestess" seasonals. They should only require you to Locate and Return the reagents. It is slightly misleading to have to first recover, then give a reagent to the npc, then quest complete only to realize ACK I NEEDED TO GET (2) OF THAT REAGENT.

It's morning and, as I dubiously approach Lord Vendredi with the idea of an easy summer quest in mind, I got this. Being level 180 (and an elf, and having the stats I do), I wouldn't be able to do it on my own.

I don't know any 180s who could. Maybe the purpose of the quest is to form, but most of those who I could ask are sound asleep. I was wondering if there was a reason why the level minimum was so 'low'. It seemed a little unrealistic!

You ask Lord Vendredi for a quest.
This quest [31346] is called 'Servants Of The Sun',
for Adventurers levels 180 to 235.
This is a SEASONAL quest. It is available for a limited time.
Lord Vendredi is the master in charge of this quest.
As the Summer Solstice draws near, the threat level from certain creatures throughout Alyria rises. The power of the sun's fire is boosting the power of these creatures to dangerous levels and they must be stopped at all costs before they unleash that power on the world. I beg you, rally your friends and allies and go in search of these fiery fiends and dispatch them as quickly as possible! You may want to begin your search in areas known for their deadly heat. Make haste! May the Powers guide and protect you!
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive:
*Up to 100 quest points, 12 practice points, 45,000 experience points, 20 build points, and 75,000 gold pieces.
You have 1500 Alyrian minutes remaining to complete this quest.
Servants Of The Sun consists of:
Phase 1: Defeat a tame dragon.
Phase 2: Defeat a fire giant mage.
Phase 3: Defeat a fire golem.
Phase 4: Defeat a crimson dragon.
Phase 5: Defeat the Ash Dragon.
Phase 6: Defeat Fendawyr the half dragon.
Lord Vendredi exclaims, 'May the Powers be with you, Ithilwen!'

Ithilwen, I think that perhaps the only phase on that list that you couldn't complete solo is #5, and you could always ask an active archon around for some help! I'de be glad to if you see me around.

There's also

Questmaster: Lord Vendredi [Sigil]
This quest is called 'Masters Of The Sun', for Adventurers levels 236 to 241.
Description of Masters Of The Sun:
As the Summer Solstice draws near, the threat level from certain creatures
throughout Alyria rises. The power of the sun's fire is boosting the power
of these creatures to dangerous levels and they must be stopped at all costs
before they unleash that power on the world. I beg you, rally your friends
and allies and go in search of these fiery fiends and dispatch them as

Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive up
to 100 quest points, 15 practice points, 45000 experience points, 20 build points, and 75000 gold pieces.
You have 1500 minutes remaining to complete this quest.
Masters Of The Sun consists of:
Phase 1: Defeat The Ash Dragon.
Phase 2: Defeat A mama dragon.
Phase 3: Defeat An ancient red dragon.
Phase 4: Defeat Fendawyr the half dragon.
Phase 5: Defeat The Chromatic Dragon.
Phase 6: Defeat Vyst.

That I doubt anyone hero and below could do alone. You've gotta call in the cavalry.

The Servants of the Sun and Masters of the Sun quests were designed to be a team effort, hence the large timers and ability to die and retain the quest.

I beg you, rally your friends
and allies and go in search of these fiery fiends and dispatch them as
quickly as possible! You may want to begin your search in areas known for
their deadly heat.

I have one other beef, and it's not a biggie. The quest Beach Party! Involves two items that only exist in one place (rusty iron bucket) or on one mob (bath towel), and it's happened twice already that there have been a line of people waiting, because the quest gets released so often. It's a good quest, nonetheless.

Bran nailed that one on the head. :D I will fully accept responsibility for both the Servants and Masters of the Sun quests. I wrote them with the intent of encouraging the big kids to play nice with the little kids instead of camping and slaughtering us. :P It's something I'd like to see more of in game, personally, so I have absolutely no qualms about "forcing" team work upon the players. Don't get me wrong, I've gotten Masters of the Sun three times and I curse myself out for it every time because it never fails the Archons in my clan are MIA or busy or don't want to get dead. LOL! However, I know there are players that know the runs well and are willing to make them for the loot alone. The high rewards for the quest are an added bonus.

I just did that quest and I must say, it was EXTREMELY easy for me to find someone willing to help. (I didn't get the one with Vyst in it.) It has now gone on to become one of my favorite quests. Thanks for writing it. :>

Is there any chance we could get "quest status #" to be modified so that it's not the formal quest number, but instead the order in which you received it?

I know it's small, but having to find and type the quest numbers, which are long and I never remember them, is annoying. I'd much prefer to be able to type "quest status 1" "quest status 2" instead of "quest status..uh what was the number again? oh I see, 31386" I've been keeping one in copy/paste, and trying to remember the smaller # in my head. Or keep both quests open in CWN in 2 different windows. Minor, but a definite annoyance. Thanks in advance.
