Clan Hall Build System Conversions Underway
Posted 26 July 2011 - 04:45 AM
I've started converting existing clanhalls to use the new build system. The build system for clanhalls uses clan gemstones (at a conversion ratio) instead of build points. So far I've done five clans, and if yours hasn't been done yet, post in this thread and I'll do them in order.
Regarding member slots:
Since we're moving away from the A B C type hall/clan sizes, we're working on changing the way additional member slots are added to clans as well, that will probably be in the forthcoming 4.4 update.
Regarding old homes being converted:
I'm working on this, but it will happen after the clanhalls are done (as they are much easier). It takes me about 20 minutes to convert a clan hall (as I am cleaning up some builder inconsistencies as I go) so I'll be doing this probably for the next week or two as I have time/patience.

can you please give more detail as to how member slots will be added? will we be also able to shrink the size of the clan as well?

First, thank you so much for this addition. It's really a great component to the game, and adds a great deal of authentic ownership to player's experiences here.
Secondly, now that I've been playing around with expanding 75's hall for a few days, I have couple ideas for hall building:
1. Could a "clan hall shop" be added, or the one in Lowangen be expanded to include furniture type items? Such as: clan hall chest, sofas, trees, fountains, etc
2. Could a clan hall "hitching post" item be added? The game has the quest point version of this - but I'm looking for one to be added only to halls using roots (could be super pricey, I don't care.)
3. I know that at least one newer hall has their entrance/exit set up so that you can gohall to get inside of the hall and exit the hall simply by moving through the front door without doing anything. But you cannot get back into the hall unless you either have a clan hall key OR by using a passphrase. So you don't need a passphrase to leave, but you do to get back in. Did that make sense? Is this something that would be possible to add? I messed around in the free-build section and couldn't get something like this to work. I'm looking for creative solutions to securing a hall, but not making it impenetrable. Otherwise I'll just slap a passphrase onto the entrance into the main section of the hall and call it a day.

I have the hall-builder security but my hall wont let me build. Antechamber says its not in place yet, and the inside of the hall says I much be owner of the home to make use of the function.
