This quest [2053] is called 'Allay the Invasion',
for Adventurers levels 30 to 100.
This is a SEASONAL quest. It is available for a limited time.
Lord Agrippa is the master in charge of this quest.
It is the time of year when trick o' treaters come out of the woodwork and
the citizens of our fair city need something with which to fend them off.
Journey forth to the surrounding localities of the continent, including the
Hill Giant's Refuge and Lonely Dragon Inn, amongst others. Bring back
whatever treats you can find to appease them! Only large quantities of
sugar will keep us from being completely overrun this All Spirits' Eve. May
the Powers guide and protect you!
Upon successful completion of this quest you can receive:
*Up to 20 quest points, 4 practice points, 5,000 experience points,
0 build points, 0 piety, and 5,000 gold pieces.
*The item 'a small brown vial labeled 'Potion Twenty-Four''.
You have 151 Alyrian minutes remaining to complete this quest.
Allay the Invasion consists of:
Phase 1: Recover a candied apple.
Phase 2: Recover a piece of candy.
Phase 3: *Recover a string of rock candy.
Phase 4: *Recover a ripe pumpkin.
Phase 5: *Recover a piece of New Rigel candy.

The Phase 1 item can only be obtained when the Lonely Dragon Inn has their 'Dinner Menu' on. This is a tiny portion of the day, as they have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, and are closed all night. So it's almost impossible to complete unless you happen to get it just at the right time. I've got two seasonal quests so far and they've both been this one - so it seems very common. Any way this could be changed so it is less difficult to complete? Thanks :)

A thought: maybe this item could also be added to Agatha's shop in Rune?

As much as it pains me to agree with the batfish, I think they're right.
