My understanding is that there has been a relatively recent push to make what have historically been "duplicate" spells more distinct from one another. For example, in addition to an extra attack, haste now provides 20 extra attack speed whereas lightning invocation provides 5 additional accuracy. However, these two spells are still incompatible with each other, and therefore you can't receive the benefits of both at the same time. So my question is, is there ever a situation in which it's preferable to have an extra 5 accuracy than to have an extra 20 attack speed? Or is lightning invocation just supposed to be a less effective form of haste for those who don't have haste?

From what I've noticed, Attack Speed doesn't seem to work well without (or at all) third attack. But I wouldn't say it's really worth using Accuracy based haste without already having bonus attack speed on other gear. I haven't noticed a significant difference between 20 and 32 attack speed but I don't own a halfling fetus halo so I can't test 5 vs 20/32 to see if it's noticeable.
