It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Celestia,
one of our members of staff. While she has not been active as an Immortal
since 2009 due to illness, we were still asked regularly when or if she
would be returning. She often expressed the desire to return to the game,
but unfortunately she passed away peacefully in September of this year.
Celestia was a big part of this game, and many older players will remember
her with fondness. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

She was a wonderful person, and we'll miss her dearly.

I've not been active in MM in many moons, but I think of her often and just earlier this week I was wondering about her. She was an incredibly patient and forgiving woman with a steel reserve to continually withstand some of the abuse that some players in my day hurled at her. I hope that she has found peace, and that wherever she is now she knows that I cared.

When I first started and heard of her for the first time, I thought "Wow. What a cool and glorious name Celestia is!" I always admired her great sense of acuity and insight.
She took care of most of my handfastings and marriages, or supervised it. She helped me build my crazy house, that even after sending a formal request, she talked to me directly about it as I walked her through.
Truly heartbreaking news. Cel, you will be missed. I hope that wherever you are, you are no longer suffering for you are no longer tied to the weight of this world. Rest in peace, old friend.

Celestia, I wish your family well in this time of sorrow. You will be greatly missed by this community and I am sure by the one you left behind in real life. Rest in peace.

Really sad to hear this. At least she went peacefully I suppose.
