If you want a minor swap, you could take:
Half-Elf / Ranger - Paladin - Bard - Druid
in whichever order you choose.
But again...I am partial to the path that Minus suggested.

Paladin, however, has cure light castable for everyone.
Also, see Minus.

There are a few ways to obtain either a casted disease spell(plague bearer set) do so by scripted melee(barbarian only halberd or throwing a boomerang) which, those scripts occur at a low rate and then finally by using items. All the items cast at low levels. Albeit some allegedly may be multiplied magic by monk...
Finally, curse. Ranger receives faerie fire which is a good debuff. The music skill from bard supplies a few debuff magicks but only a select few these days. Mostly for accuracy and agility negatives.

What do the class paths offer that the others do not? And how does bard/rogue fit into those options

Faerie fire isn't a good debuff, it's basically -3ar at archon. Ranger priest is a much better path, but for the love of god don't recommend druid paired with ranger.
Whats wrong with ranger/druid pair in path ?

Absolutely don't recommend druid/psi. It can be useful and versatile in forms and on runs, but is terrible in 1v1 pk.
Could someone please explain to me why that path is bad in pk? I would have thought it'd be the otherway around and be worse in pve because of the lack of debuffs. I was under the impression that psi was a great pk class...
EDIT: Also, pk isn't really a necessity in this game, right?

Ranger paladin druid bard lacks many -ar spells as well. The only debuffs in that path will come from music, which are primarily accuracy and agility. This path also lacks casted disease and poison.
Most of those druid offshoots are hardly playable. The only two readily managed paths with druid are monk and wizard mage selections. Sadly, as it seems a few players would attempt less "reputable" cookie paths if there were more in game methods to support non "standard" paths.
